In practical use, environmentally friendly yarns require more careful adjustment of the manufacturing process compared to ordinary yarns, taking into account their material properties and processing conditions. Otherwise, problems such as unstable strength, pilling, or color difference may easily occur during the weaving or finishing stages.

 

Tension control is crucial during weaving and knitting. Due to the complex raw material sources of some recycled fibers, yarn uniformity may fluctuate slightly. Excessive tension can easily cause yarn breakage or weaving defects. Therefore, a "low tension, stable yarn feeding" method is generally recommended. Simultaneously, the machine speed should be appropriately reduced on high-speed looms to minimize friction damage to the yarn surface.

 

Environmentally friendly yarns are more sensitive to processing conditions. During dyeing, the rate of temperature rise needs to be controlled, and low-salt, low-alkali, or environmentally friendly auxiliaries should be selected to avoid affecting the fiber structure. Organic cotton yarns, in particular, require gentle treatment; otherwise, they are prone to problems such as stiffening of the hand feel or increased shrinkage. Recycled polyester is relatively stable, but time and temperature still need to be controlled during high-temperature setting to avoid affecting elasticity.

 

In practical applications, attention must also be paid to storage and mixing issues. Environmentally friendly yarns should be kept in a dry and well-ventilated environment to avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, which can lead to performance degradation. In blended designs, yarns from different batches or with different proportions of recycled components should be avoided from being mixed directly to reduce instability caused by color differences and batch variations. Properly controlling these details can better leverage the advantages of environmentally friendly yarns.
