The technical parameters of blended yarns primarily serve to measure their structural characteristics and performance, acting as a crucial basis for production control and quality inspection. The most fundamental parameter is linear density (fineness)-typically expressed in Tex, Denier (D), or English Cotton Count (Ne)-which indicates the thickness of the yarn. Greater uniformity in fineness signifies more stable yarn quality and facilitates subsequent weaving and processing.

 

Performance parameters include breaking strength and breaking elongation. These metrics reflect the yarn's load-bearing capacity and extensibility under tension, directly influencing the durability and tensile properties of the resulting fabric. Twist is another critical parameter; it determines the yarn's compactness and structural stability, with both excessively high and low twist levels affecting the yarn's quality and tactile feel.

 

Other process parameters requiring attention include evenness, hairiness index, and deviations in the blend ratio. Evenness reflects fluctuations in yarn thickness; the hairiness index affects fabric appearance and pilling resistance; and the blend ratio determines whether the product meets design specifications. Collectively, these technical parameters form a comprehensive system for evaluating the quality of blended yarns.
